Disabling Automatic Updates in Virtual Machine

In order to disable the automatic update and installation (and rebooting) of updates in a virtual machine running Windows 11, the group policy must be updated:

1. Run gpedit.msc
2. Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Manage end user experience
3. Double-click on Configure Automatic Updates
4. Enable and set value to 3
5. Click on OK
